i really really tried to give this song a shot (and i’m actually not entirely convinced it’s ripping of maritime)…and i really don’t know this dude at all so fogive me for speaking ill…but if this is supposed to be the hopeful acoustic awesome that i’ve heard about i’d like to see a little more effort in the lyric department.  i mean,  i guess some positivity can get you a long way but who can argue that this whole song isn’t made out of pretty uneventful hooks that we’ve all heard a billion times with a complete lack of lyrical substance…maybe the only hooks i’m into are the ones that come from the gin blossoms.  maybe this song makes sense to fifteen year olds that are trying to find themselves, i don’t know, but it sounds lazy to me…like it’s not even remotely personal.  listen for yourself i guess, but i probably won’t pay a dollar for this song.  fuck…you can get my whole discography on band camp for cheaper than that.
