Anniversary Club

i understand completely that i’m really bad at this tumblr thing and keeping up on it.  also, i’m bad at taking pictures of stuff going on around me.  above are a few lame photos from my trip as well as a cartoon that i think is really funny.

trip summary:

day 19: my living room.  thanks to my friends for making it out in the absolute “snow-ma-geddon” that was going on outside.  not many kids but we had a great time and it was a fitting send off for me.

day 20: shamrocks pub, huntington, wv.  this show was great.  not only did we play with awesome people (including our new friend cody from “wine and water”) but there was a great turn out and, of course, the staff was amazing again.  also, i’ve really got to practive my golden tee before i go back…they definitely stomped me this time around.

day 21: acoustic coffee house, johnson city, tn.  the people that run this place are great.  aside from beginning to develop flu symptoms this was a good time.  the free pizza definitely helped.  business as usual otherwise.

day 22: brycc house, louisville, ky.  this show was kind of a no go for the most part.  unfortunately we really didn’t get a turnout at all.  i did get to play with “dustin and the furniture” which was great and he brought a couple of cool cats with him from lexington and we had a quiet night of sharing songs.  thanks again for the free mini coke’s and pizza brycc house.

day 23: day off in indy.  not much happened here but endless searching through record stores (and finding too much stuff that i wanted) and some quality time with my cousins.  i really needed that and the rest that came with it.  think i finally kicked the flu.

day 24: mixtapes/nitetrodder, east moline, il.  all these dudes here were awesome and are really in it for the right reasons.  we recorded some live stuff for their website (which i’ll link to later) and i ate a burrito.  then the blizzard started.  i think they got something like 8 inches of snow in 3 hours which pretty much crippled the town and the show.  we got a great place to stay though and the kids that were there and watched us were really appreciative.

day 25: elbo room, chicago, il.  there are very few moments when you run into the combination of the perfect room, the perfect sound equipment, and the perfect sound guy.  this perfect storm of awesome happened at this show.  also, everyone at this place was super nice…almost so nice i thought they were messing with me.  if you live in chicago go here for awesome people and an amazing sounding room.  guaranteed they made me sound fifty times better than i actually do.

and that brings us up to today.  sorry this is so long, i hate long tumbles too.  cheers.
