day 16: jupiter, fl: indian creek park
to day it rained with the exception of the 4 hours that we needed it to stop so we could play this park show. awesome luck there, thanks florida weather.
while all of my friends at home were bracing for the foot and a half of snow they were about to get, i was sitting by a lake in a park watching cranes search for worms and soaking in the 75 degree weather.
once some kids showed up we moved to a gazeebo thingy and started the show. first up was claudia who goes by “conundrum of nuclear thought.” she kept saying she was sick and could hardly sing but i definitely couldn’t tell. listen to here at: myspace.com/conundrumofnuclearthought
also on the bill was adam barksdale who set up the show for us. thanks so much again for that dude. great guy, great songwriter, and great poet. if you live in jupiter you should try and catch him at a poetry slam sometime…the small sample of that stuff was really great. myspace.com/adambarksdale
lastly was ‘fight back”, a really cool trio of dudes singing very gang vocally folk punk kind of in the vein of the reinventing axel rose album. check it at: myspace.com/fightback138
we opted to drive through the night to gainesville, where i sit at the moment, killing time and drinkin coffee.
